Fire protection testing of sliding gates

In order to expand our range of fire protection sliding doors made of wood, we put together a test arrangement with Empa in Dübendorf that allows us to build fire protection sliding doors on tested glazing made of wood. In addition to glass partitions, we are also thinking of counters with sliding doors, which are often found in escape route areas. Therefore, such switches usually have to have a fire protection resistance of EI30.

Our objective was to achieve the slimmest possible frame profiles for sliding doors and fixed glazing, allowing for fine proportions and great transparency.

With a fire resistance of 35 minutes, the fire test was successful and VKF approval can be applied for.
