Bespoke interior and furniture for Villa in Zurich

For a unique villa in the outskirts of Zurich, MAETZLER was entrusted with building all interiors and joinery products. All doors, cabinets and various built-in cupboards were manufactured in the MAETZLER workshop. In order to brighten up the room of the old villa, light-coloured materials were to be used. Therefore, all surfaces were produced with a light mustard veneer and matt lacquer.

The centrepiece in this villa is a bespoke dining room table made of solid wood. All shapes of this table are specially rounded, such as the legs, which were particularly demanding for the production. The initial shapes were worked out using CNC technology. The curved surfaces were then finished by hand using a traditional plane.
