Fit-out of Modern Chalet Sura in Davos

MAETZLER was tasked to carry out the interior fittings in a modern chalet in Davos. We were able to produce wall panelling, built-in cupboards and interior doors over 3 floors.

The interior doors and wall panelling were designed with horizontally aligned sunburnt oak veneer. This is particularly impressive in the wall panelling with integrated room doors, which appear as if they were made of one piece. The horizontal veneer pattern not only looks spectacular, it also demonstrates the outstanding craftsmanship. The horizontal wood grain requires great care in the selection and cutting of the veneer so that the image is repeated from element to element.

An exciting challenge was also the production of the wardrobe in the master room, which was covered with dark leather.

We worked very closely with the architects on the interior design. Especially for the choice of the veneer pattern or the development of the leather doors.
